Overwhelmed by how much work starting a business is?…I’ve got you covered. With so many decisions to be made, it can easily all just pile up in your mind and stop you from taking that big leap into starting your side-hustle or business.

I know…I’ve been there.

When I first realised I needed to leave my corporate job when I was working as a management consultant in tech, I felt ecstatic about the possibilities! And then immediately felt overwhelmed by how I couldn’t see the end of the path…I didn’t know what my first step should be.

There was of course a big identity piece to work on (watch my free Confident Cosmic CEO Masterclass to unlock this next identity for yourself), but also I needed someone to show me THE STEPS so that I knew what to focus on…

In this article I’ll share the 5 essential areas that any early business owner needs to focus on and make decisions about first. This is for my aspiring entrepreneurs that know what they want…but need direction on where to start:

1. Vision & Values:

Define your vision for your business with clear goals and prioritise what's important to you. Often we stay stuck when we’re not sure where we’re heading. Your clients want to be on a journey with you too and are inspired by what you’re creating from the ground up. They want to invest in a business and leader that has a vision that resonates with them. What do you stand for as a CEO? What does your business stand for? (even if you don’t know exactly what you’re selling yet, you can have a clear vision and values)

Cosmic tip: Look at your Rising Sign to understand your deepest motivation in life and how that should be coming through in your business mission and values.

2. Bold Branding:

Stand out in your industry using your unique magnetism (and your cosmic blueprint!). Likely there are many other people out there doing what you do. But they don’t do it exactly the same way as you and most importantly…they aren’t you. YOU are the secret sauce of your work and it’s important to stand out so that your ideal clients and customers can find you and purchase from you easily. Create a brand that is boldly a reflection of YOU.

3. Content & Community:

Create content that's YOU-coded and gathers a raving community around your work. Content can often be where our biggest confidence blocks come up but when you unlock your voice and core messaging, your people can finally HEAR you and resonate with what you share. They can be curious, get results from your content ahead of purchasing and then be guided to buy when the time is right.

We don’t want “fans” in our business, we want community. People who are committed to their results, refer our work, give quality feedback and come back again and again. Content is an incredible tool for attracting and building that community.

Cosmic Tip: Look at your Midheaven again for clues to the voice and message in you that will resonate MOST with your people. Also the HD Profile Lines are potent for content creation…There are many other parts of your Human Design to tap into here but I can’t give everything away for free in this article! haha.

4. Offer stack:

This is what I call turning your “gifts into GOLD”. Designing an offer stack that showcases your talent/gifts/experience/know-how AND works for your lifestyle and energy is an ART. Your stack of products/services has to reflect how you best work and how your people can best get the most out of the tools/approach you offer. No two stacks are alike and this is where you find the balance of passive vs active income you dream of.

Cosmic Tip: Look at your Human Design Type (Projector, Generator, Manifesting Generator, Manifestor, Reflector) for the business model that will work best for you. Once you know the model, designing the offers is so much easier! Not everyone works well having to be LIVE online all the time, and not everyone should be pushing solely educational products…it’s an individual thing.

5. Productivity, scheduling, boundaries, self-confidence (the ‘Elevated Entrepreneur’)

This bucket is all about the behind-the-scenes decisions about HOW you run your business day to day. For those of you already in burnout from your corporate job or who are afraid of becoming burned-out, this part is crucial. You must decide what time you’re going to dedicate to your biz, how you manage your time, creativity and energy. And you need a plan for how you get in the zone to show up in CEO energy and confidence regularly.

I't’s important to run your business with your wellbeing in mind. These decisions are where you make sure you can sustain growth and success through the ups and downs of being a business owner. This is where you become the “elevated entrepreneur”.
